Passport World Charts are the newest and most complete collection of charts available for boaters worldwide. Passport World Charts are vector-based and provide a rich set of capabilities previously unavailable. Passport World Charts are distinct in many ways including:

  • Clarity – Clear at any orientation or scale setting, features are automatically filtered to show the best image possible.
  • Precision – The charts are made directly from official navigation charts and also include up-to-date notice-to-mariner information.
  • Power - Control how a chart is displayed on the screen, point the cursor at an object and more information is displayed.
  • 3D - Using the data embedded in Passport Charts, Nobeltec has been able to build 3D Charting for the world.

Passport Charts are stored as vector data files not as graphics. This new technology allows us to fit the entire world's chart database (5,500 charts) onto one CD ROM.

Passport Charts have all the information from the original paper charts and because it is stored as vector data will appear cleaner and clearer at any zoom level or rotation angle.

Passport Charts have true worldwide coverage with over 5,800 available charts. These intelligent vector charts are created using official data from worldwide hydrographic offices including NOAA and the exclusive British Admiralty. From coastlines and bouys to depth soundings and nav-aids, Passport charts contain all the information that you need for safe and easy navigation right here at home or around the globe.
