TMQ C-Plot PRO and SF for Windows are computer based chart
display/plotting systems, designed and manufactured by TMQ
Electronics, Australia.
C-Plot PRO provides the ability to access the
digitally encrypted C-Map's CM93 Edition 3 charts and Seafarer or
ARCS charts.
C-Plot SF enables you to view Seafarer or ARCS charts, (also known
as HCRF - Hydrographic Charts Raster Format)
A wide range of external devices can be
interfaced with C-Plot, supplying it with a variety of data,
provided that these devices are NMEA compliant. |

PRO and SF are both professional versions
designed to meet the many and varied requirements of the
professional fisherman or commercial skipper. Through TMQ's access
to major chart providers, the operation of a vessel world-wide can
be managed easily by the TMQ C-Plot system.
C-Plot accepts data from,
- GPS/DGPS receivers
- Depth sounders
- Radar (target tracking data)
- Temperature sensors
As a navigation tool, C-Plot can be used to plan
an entire voyage. As a fishing tool, C-Plot allows selected markers
to be placed on the map to identify fishing grounds, net or pot
locations, danger or restricted zones, or safe anchorage points.
As a vessel management tool, C-Plot can be used
to annunciate changes in water depth, vessel course or sea
temperature.
At TMQ we are very proud of our C-Plot system and
will continue to review the system features to meet the diverse
requirements of the international marine industry. |

This screen-shot shows a number of the more
commonly used features available within the C-Plot system. |

|
Routes
The orange line, between the marina and the river, shows
the first leg of a journey made by a local fishing boat leaving the
mooring. Routes are created in C-Plot by first laying out the voyage
roughly with the computer mouse, then if necessary setting the exact
GPS location for each leg, then finally by selecting the start and
end position for the journey. |
| |
|
GPS Data Dialog Box
Contains current location, speed, heading and time. |
| |
|
Sounder Data Dialog
Box
Contains current depth, sea water temperature and the hardness
of the sea floor. |
| |
|
Cursor Position
Dialog Box
Shows the latitude and longitude at the position of the cursor
and is used to aid in laying down routes. |
| |
|
Marks/Area Polygons
The red anchors and the pink and yellow shaded areas have been
added to show how C-Plot can be used to leave marks and areas on the
page. For example, you could place a green shaded area over a high
yield fishing ground, or a red area over some sand bars. A number of
different marks are available within C-Plot, including icons of
fish, anchors, reefs and lighthouses. |
| |
|
Alarms
Audible alarms can be set when the boat veers off course by a
set amount, when GPS data is lost or when the sea depth is too
shallow. |
